The Joint Tactical Ground Station (JTAGS) team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Hardware Engineer based out of Colorado Springs, CO.
What You'll get to Do:
The Hardware Engineer is responsible for conducting research, design, development, and testing of information processing hardware such as computer, antenna, and communications systems, and electrical components. Designs new or modifies existing products, develops technical specifications for production, analyzes hardware configuration and processing solutions, and tests hardware conformance to specifications. The Hardware Engineer will be part of an integrated product team and should be able to communicate and work in a team environment, be familiar with change management and engineering processes, and have familiarity with hardware installation.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of hardware design
  • Experience with ground station design and/or military weapon systems
  • Ability to produce engineering documentation
  • Basic understanding of engineering lifecycle processes
  • Excellent communications and teamwork skills
  • Active DoD Secret clearance with investigation within past 5 years
  • Level 3: 5 Years with Bachelors in a STEM related field of study; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD
  • Level 4: 9 Years with Bachelors in a STEM related field of study; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD
  • Up to 25% travel
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • Experience with early warning or missile warning systems
  • Experience with military data links, RF communications, and/or satellite communications (SATCOM)
  • Experience documenting configuration of equipment, including troubleshooting approach/methodology
  • Mechanically inclined with working knowledge of standard mechanical tools
