Principal Engineering Operations Analyst

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Principal Engineering Operations Analyst to join our Rolling Meadows Engineering Laboratories Management team. The qualified applicant will lead a team of technical support personnel responsible for maintaining test equipment, computers, tools, and government hardware. Additional responsibilities include direct support to hardware, software, and systems test engineers regarding the day-to day operations of the laboratories. This particular individual will serve as a direct report to the Engineering Laboratory's Manager.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Leading engineering computers, test equipment and tools programs

  • Management of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) within engineering

  • Maintain and update Engineering Laboratories Management tools

  • Ensure all equipment tracking data is accurate

  • Lead multi-organizational projects focused on continuous process improvements

  • Lead Engineering-Laboratories Management communications effort
  • Support budget and planning requirements for the cost center


Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in STEM or Business, with 6 years minimum experience
Excellent communication (written and oral), must be able to represent organization on specific projects. May make presentations to small groups
Previous experience in leadership roles
Must be self-initiating; needing only general supervision for soundness of judgment and overall accuracy
Must exhibit strong proficiency with Excel, SharePoint, and demonstrated analytical skills
Must have aptitude for computers and the ability to work in an engineering environment
US Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a engineering laboratory environment
Experience working with the DoD
Experience with Project , Access, SQL or other data base programs
Current active DoD Secret Clearance
