Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Principal Logistics Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Oklahoma City, OK.
Candidate will be responsible for specific Logistics Engineering efforts & activities necessary to meet program requirements. Major responsibilities will include developing and maintaining Product Support Element (PSE) schedule, providing PSE customer support, and providing PSE support to the logistics team. PSE logistics team support will include Obsolescence Management, Supply Support, Provisioning, Technical Publications, Support Equipment, and Training. The candidate should have strong analytical skills and knowledge of Microsoft Project used to conduct PSE analysis and will be expected to provide status to the IPT on a regular basis.
Responsibilities:
Provides reliability, availability, and maintainability guidance and leadership/support to various Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), ensuring program requirements and performances are understood.
Supports issue resolution development by working with Logistic Team members and stakeholders on the analysis and development of logistic solutions.
Performs PSE analysis, including identification of logistic program issues and recommendations for solution.
Creates, analyzes, and produces the Product Support Element schedule, impacts, and issue reports, and present data to stakeholders, customers, and upper management.
Maintains close coordination with several IPTs.
Participates in Supportability Working Group (SWG) meetings as required.
Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects and requirements.
Provides solutions to a variety of logistic problems of increasing scope and complexity as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math field (STEM) from an accredited university with 5 years experience or 3 years experience with a Master's Degree.
At least 5 years of experience in military/government engineering, logistics, and/or supply chain management.
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
An active in-scope DoD Secret clearance granted within 5 years
Ability to obtain and maintain special program access (SAP)
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree or 20 years or more experience in Product Support Element analysis
Significant experience in military, government, commercial aerospace industry (e.g. aviation/equipment maintenance, aircraft operations, or commercial industrial technology companies)
Knowledge of Military Specifications, Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), Data Item Descriptions (DIDs) and other related technical and contractual documents
