What You'll get to Do:

Resilient Network Solutions is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in San Diego, CA.

Northrop Grumman Corporation is a leader in the Defense industry, developing and delivering quality products that help ensure the safety and freedom of this nation and its allies. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Engineering, Sciences, and Technology organization, responsible for innovative detail design ranging from chassis to aircraft payload, as well as the analysis necessary to satisfy program requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities:

As the team EE lead, you will be responsible for:

All aspects of the Ethernet Backbone harness design

Developing hardware requirements for initial design and future growth

Developing a Bill of Materials

Documenting the design

Performing signals integrity analysis

Identifying SIL requirements

Supporting harness fabrication

Supporting SIL, ground, and flight integration and test

The lead should work closely with the mechanical engineers to understand environmental requirements that may affect the Ethernet and power harness designs. In addition, there is opportunity to become as involved as desired in model based system engineering using Cameo and performing component level trade studies.

There will be some travel required, especially during the middle of the year during integration.

SolidWorks is a must, and experience with integration is preferred.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

* 5 Years of experience with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD.

* Ability to use a standard desktop (PC) computer and Windows-based tools to produce original documents including drawings, plans, procedures and reports.

* Technical writing skills.

* Ability to work productively in a team environment .

* Must possess effective oral and written communication skills in order to communicate well and interact successfully with all levels of the organization.

* Must possess technical flexibility and willingness to learn.

* US citizenship required. Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.

* Experience with Visio and SolidWorks.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

* Experience with electrical/electronic and mechanical hardware design, analysis, and production.

* SolidWorks CAD 3D design plus full detail drawings, 2+ years of full-time experience.

* Experience with communication systems including payload rack installations, equipment and operations, platform systems integration and ground and flight testing.

* Familiarity with MIL-type connectors, cable design, and electrical analysis techniques.

* Knowledge and understanding of computers and network systems.
