Principal Data Management Analyst

Northrop Grumman has an opening for an experienced Principal Data Management Analyst to join our team of qualified individuals. This position will be located in Woodlawn, MD.

The chosen candidate will be a member of a multi-disciplinary team developing analytical applications for Northrop Grumman's Healthcare systems. In this role, the Data Analyst will be expected to:

Full life cycle product development on a variety of architectures and target platforms Applications data acquisition and analysis, networks and communications/security, health care data cross correlation, artificial intelligence, database management, GUI development
Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions
Creates data mining architectures/models/protocols, statistical reporting, and data analysis methodologies to identify trends in large data sets. Analysis may have many applications such as to address a business issue or provide a competitive advantage for the organization. Requires strong statistical and data visualization skills
Coordinate schedules and procedures for teams of data scientists, business analysts, and technical engineers
Develops and/or implements data models to detect and prevent healthcare fraud using SPSS, R, SAS, etc.
Provides data analytic support to client and leadership teams with reports, analytics, and with other ad hoc requests
Serve as a lead in data management, data integrity, and technical implementations
Understand the current reporting process and work out ways to optimize and enhance regular reports
Ensure the recurring and non-recurring Metrics/Dashboards products and services deliver on time and to the proper performance and quality specifications; operationalizing new metrics, dashboard and benchmark products and services in support of FPS metrics strategy and evolution; ensuring process and product improvement opportunities are identified and implemented; and completing other tasks as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field, and a minimum of 6 years related technical experience. An additional 4 years of experience required in lieu of a degree
Minimum three years' experience in the federal Healthcare Fraud, Waste and Abuse program
Minimum three years' experience working with the federal government's Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)
Minimum five years' experience in healthcare analytics and/or data
Minimum five plus years managing or overseeing tasks performed by a technical team
Experience supporting major system development projects with demonstrated technical abilities
US Citizenshipor Permanent Residency (Green Card holder) is required I order toobtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Master of Public Health (MPH) degree is preferred
Demonstrates ability to communicate with individuals at many different levels from within and from outside of the company
Experience analyzing complex situations and delivery advance and direction to technical staff in times of uncertainty
Excellent communication and team-building expertise
Goal-oriented demeanor and ability to get things done with a proactive and forward thinking approach
Experience in web based application development
