Principal Conference Event Rep

Northrop Grumman's Aerospace Systems is looking for an Executive Visit Specialist 3 for our facility located in Redondo Beach, CA, as well as supporting San Diego facilities (and others as necessary). This position reports to the Customer Engagement organization responsible for the strategic planning and execution of all key on-site customer visits. The Specialist will partner with the Executive Visit Lead to manage all the logistical planning and execution of a world class experience for our high level executive on-site visits and events, demonstrating Northrop Grumman's commitment to performance excellence and innovation. Due to the expanse of Northrop Grumman's Space Park campus, the candidate mustbecome familiar with thebuildings and programs onsite.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Identifies and secures appropriate venues and support team, develops the event flow, prepares movement plans, and conducts facility walkthroughs to ensure site readiness
  • Contributes and communicates logistics in all planning and preparation meetings with the Stakeholders to ensure the visit plan is aligned with overall strategic goals and objectives
  • Defines meeting/presentation needs and ensures closure to actions
  • Handles scheduling, agenda management and preparation for visits and events, prepares and distributes the appropriate working documents (artifacts)
  • Ensures participants are prepared thorough dry-run visit/event preparation sessions and walkthroughs
  • Maintains historical database and reporting documents
  • Communicates visits/events to all stakeholders
  • Ability to handle physical demands, such as standing and walking for long periods of time.

  • Ability to demonstrate exceptional judgment, professionalism and poise
  • Must be capable of setting priorities and working under pressure
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; presentation skills; and collaboration skills are required
  • High level and attention to detail
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and5 years of experience in handling logistics for events, conferences and/or site visits.
  • Strong MS Office Suite skills
  • 25% travel to San Diego, CA
  • Must have a minimum of an Interim Secret clearance


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience planning and executing customer visits / events
  • Aerospace industry experience preferred
  • Superior critical thinking, organization, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to demonstrate exceptional judgment, professionalism and poise
  • Must be capable of setting priorities and working under pressure
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; presentation skills; and collaboration skills
  • Experience organizing and planning a detailed schedule for Senior leadership
  • Experience working with all levels in an organization
  • Active DoD Top Secret/ SCI clearance
  • Strong MS Office Suite skills
