In a typical day as a Hybrid IT Presales Solution Architect, you would:

  • Be responsible for the end-to-end technical design of the complete solution which address the customer’s business problems, needs, and opportunities, including both the company portfolio of products and services and the multiple HPE Partners (such as Vmware, Microsoft, SAP, Mesosphere, Citrix, Docker, SuSE, RedHat, Intel, AMD, Nvidia and many others)
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of specific solution domain, company products and solutions as well as customers' technical and business environment. Apply knowledge to translate the functional view into a technical view and architect complex solutions and deliver joint business success.
  • Be the focal point for technical customer evaluations, proof of concepts and demos.
  • Invest time working with and leveraging external HPE partners and resellers to deliver solutions as well as educating them on the latest HPE innovations.
  • Partner with the account team to build the customer relationship at all levels by advocating and presenting technical strategies for customer's transformation. Review account pipeline to prioritize pursuit activities, and move opportunities to a close while ensuring proper utilization of time and resources.
  • Be a Solution Evangelist for a specific technology or domain. Participate in deep-dive discussions and apply market intelligence and thought leadership to enhance proposed solutions and drive opportunity/demand generation for solution area(s). At time, address a public of customers and/or partners on specific HPE solutions at various HPE and partner events.
  • Leverage a deep knowledge of partner products by mapping the right partner to the right solution opportunity based partner on competencies and go-to-market strengths in relevant areas.
  • Create formal networks for collaboration and best practice sharing. Collaborate with other presales solution architects on the team on conceptual designs, technical depictions, and customizations essential for solution development.
  • Stay abreast of current industry technology, trends (such as Cloud, Big Data, Data Analytics, AI, Machine Learning and others) and, competition.

If you...

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical courses.
  • Possess 5–8 years of experience in technology industry with focus on technical consulting and solution selling.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills and mastery over English and French.
  • Have a technical understanding of assigned solution set and knowledge of leading edge and emerging technologies.
  • Possess knowledge of the company offerings, strategic initiatives, current trends, competitor products and strategies for Hybrid IT.
  • Possess Project Management skills or experience with excellent analytical and problem solving skills, including appropriate due diligence.
  • Have worked in tandem with account managers to fulfill sales goals and have been a team member in responding to RFP/RFI/RFQ.
  • Have participated in solution configurations/ overall architecture design and the creation of PoCs to meet customer requirements, provide value and differentiate from the competition.
  • Have successfully completed knowledge-based as well as one or more experienced-based industry certifications.
  • Have demonstrated consultative selling techniques, including active listening, framing, white boarding, storytelling etc.
  • Possess knowledge of different types of partners and products, relevant to Hybrid IT.
  • Possess various personal traits like excellent inter-personal skills, high energy, flexible, self-motivated, trustworthy, friendly, dependable and excellent follow through skills.
  • Know of company business and technical tools as well as standard CRM systems and tools such as salesforce.com
  • Have experience with social media, blogging, and related information sharing technologies.
