Essential Job Duties

  • Supports OCONUS customer working 7 days/week, 10 hours/day, plus supports after-hour emergent repairs or off-shift task order requirements
  • Coordinate, troubleshoot, repair, inspect and maintain plumbing equipment including but not limited to faucets, lavatories, toilets, flush valves, sinks, water heaters, drinking fountains, backflow devices, valves, metering and control devices
  • Perform routine and cyclic/repetitive preventative maintenance inspections and repairs for your assigned site; including but not limited to, domestic water systems and related devices and sanitary waste drainage systems
  • Repair or replace water lines, tanks, fittings, supports and hangers, recirculation lines and sewer lines
  • Install new fixtures and associated devices and modify/rebuild existing systems, as tasked
  • Provide labor and material estimates related to plumbing services for repairs, rehabilitations, service restoration, etc.
  • Perform any required seasonal startup or shutdown services
  • May assist other trades with piping, plumbing and repair services. Personnel in each discipline on this team will be required to assist in disciplines other than their primary trade.  All personnel, regardless of title or position, may be required to complete any task within their capability.  Example:  If an Electrician and Plumber are at a remote site to perform routine maintenance and an HVAC issue arises, the technicians should make their best effort to repair the HVAC issue, even though it is not their primary trade

   Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent
  • Possess Master Plumber's license in a CONUS jurisdiction
  • Eight (8) years of experience in trade and building maintenance
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience required
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs
  • Read blueprints and perform material take-offs from prints
  • Must possess the skills and demeanor to effectively communicate with the customer and subordinates
  • Successfully pass pre-deployment physical and training
  • Willingness to work in austere locations/conditions
  • Experience in OCONUS operations and maintenance projects highly preferred
  • Minimum of SECRET clearance required, TS preferred. Clearances are driven by location.
