Key Role:
Serve as the plans and operations manager for a US Army Reserve (USAR) Mission Training Complex (MTC) and maintain or monitor exercise support operations. Lead or participate in the Concept Development Workshop (CDW), Initial Planning Workshop (IPW), Mid-Planning Workshop (MPW), and Final Planning Workshop (FPW) in conjunction with the exercise project lead to ensure exercise support requirements are being met. Review and validate exercise task organization, major exercise themes, theater of operations, phases of operation, mission command information system (MCIS) requirements, and simulation system requirements. Maintain team administrative procedures, documents, and reports, and submitting required reports on behalf of the team. Assist the client with scheduling training or exercise support requirements to meet the unit commander’s training objectives. Conduct in-depth research or analysis of the operational exercise environment to replicate the theater of operations during training events. Serve as an exercise lead responsible for coordinating simulation, training, and MCIS support requirements, as directed.
Basic Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience with the development and delivery of military training programs
-2+ years of experience with operations at the battalion level or above
-Knowledge of Mission Command (MC) systems and other available systems to conduct exercise support
-Secret clearance
-HS diploma or GED
Additional Qualifications:
-8+ years of experience with the development and delivery of military training programs preferred
-2+ years of experience in military unit leadership positions and working in plans, training, and operations cell preferred
-Experience as an Observer Controller/Trainer, Digital Master Gunner, Exercise Project Officer, or Simulations Officer preferred
-Experience with Command Post Operations, Simulations Operations, or Battle Staff Operations preferred
-Experience in working with or training on any of the following systems: Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), Command Post of the Future (CPOF), Division eXercise Training and Review System (DXTRS), Joint Capabilities Release (JCR), Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC), and system subcomponents preferred
-BA or BS degree in a related technical field preferred
