Job Description:
The selected candidate will play a key role in the Advanced Engineering Prototype department as a Planning Production Control Specialist who will work with multiple organizations and roles to manage and forecast the procurement deliveries, hurdles, and material receipt for developmental engineering electrical and mechanical hardware builds and capital purchases. Duties include monitoring and expediting the Supply Chain activities associated in the fabrication of prototype assemblies associated with Engineering requirements. This position includes generating and monitoring the progression of multiple requisitions through the procurement cycle, facilitating resolution of procurement issues, and insuring items are delivered to meet customers’ schedules. The candidate will resolve procurement issues, be in constant contact with the supply base, ensure quality, cost, and schedule requirements are met, identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities and report this information to multiple requesting organizations. Selected individual will participate in the procurement, management, and disposition of material required for engineering development utilizing various tools including SAP, PRISM, and MRP type software.

Individual will be expected to be a focal point in the Engineering organization, prioritization, and scheduling of tasks associated with hardware procurement in conjunction with IPT Leads, REA’s, internal or external manufacturing facilities as well as keeping other elements within Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Property, and Program Management informed of progress.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.

Required Skills:
  • A minimum of 18 months professional experience with material procurement (not including internships)
  • Ability to navigate multiple complex processes and tools
  • Experience with material planning including cost and schedule forecasting
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including MS Project
  • An Interim Secret clearance will be required to fill the position
  • This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Desired Skills:
  • Must possess the ability to multi-task, prioritize activities and maintaining ongoing status with multiple stake holders
  • Familiarity with RMS Contractor Acquired Material (CAM) policies and requirements
  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) requirements
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with and take direction from Functional Management and IPT’s from multiple programs
  • A strong desire to take the initiative in a product ownership environment who knows when to ask questions or ask for help

Required Education (including Major):
  • BS in Business Administration, General Management, or related degree

This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.


This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement.
