Raytheon IIS is seeking a Chief Engineer to join our M2C2 Planning and Scheduling Team in Aurora, Colorado.

In this role, the individual will serve as the primary Planning and Scheduling technical point of contact with the PSC IPT, the program office, the prime contractor, the customer and other external entities related to the program. As required, the Chief Engineer will engage in the following roles:
· Participate in the Engineering Review Board (ERB)
· Provide technical direction to the Discrepancy Report Review Board (DRRB)
· Participate in TEMs with the prime and customer
· Prepare status or briefings for management
· Support the Risk and Opportunity Board for the program
· Support cost estimation efforts for MCRs, ECPs, and proposals

Clearance Requirement: Must be a US Citizens with a current/active TS/SCI

This position is eligible for a Sign on Bonus up to 40k for a candidate with a current TS/SCI with Poly that can be verified and hired at Raytheon.

Required Experience, Knowledge and/or Skills:
  • Bachelor degree in a STEM related field and at least 10+ years demonstrated engineering leadership experience with proven track record.
  • Experience with mission management/scheduling
  • Experience in systems engineering functions including: operations concept development, requirements management, technical risk management, interface definition and control
  • Knowledge of system integration and system test
  • Experience working systems in large domains that interact with multiple external entities
  • Ability to create a vision and lead a team to implement common principles across the enterprise
  • Ability to determine solutions compliant with system performance, availability and reliability constraints
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management and individual contributors on the program team
  • Proven written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools
  • Hold an active SCI security clearance
Desired Experience, Knowledge and/or Skills:
  • Chief Engineer / Lead Systems Engineer on a government contract
  • Systems Engineering experience on a agile software development contract
  • Experience in cost estimation
  • Raytheon BOE certification
  • Experience with participating in Engineering Gate reviews
  • Experience working on a program managed using Earned Value Management
  • ​Qualified Raytheon Six Sigma Specialist or equivalent
Education Requirements:
Bachelor in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Math, or STEM related degree. 140559
