This position is responsible system administration at all levels for Access Control System, Intrusion Detection Systems, and Video Surveillance Systems, including system monitoring, programming, reporting, troubleshooting, etc. Interface with management, customers, tenants, technicians, and alarm monitoring staff to answer inquiries, provide status reports, and resolve issues. A few of the main systems to provide system administrator support for are as follows: American Magnetics (AMAG), Software House (CCURE), Bosch Video Management System (BVMS), Sand SightLogix.

This involves the following:
  *   Maintenance of existing systems, installation of new systems, and proactive initiatives
  *   Performing device programming and configuration changes requested by the client.
  *   Performing daily enterprise system checks and status checking of communication links.
  *   Documenting Service Requests in ticketing system and ensuring tickets are closed as issues are resolved.
  *   Assisting in maintenance calls relating to workstations, software, servers, communications, badging, alarm monitoring, etc.
  *   Telephone and service desk support of technicians, system operational staff, and customers
  *   Providing initial diagnostic troubleshooting and determining root cause of simple network and systems problems
  *   Performing backups of databases.
  *   Performing daily archiving of events, alarm acknowledgements, and user transactions.
  *   Reviewing the security system's database error log files to include check of integrity and size of database on all servers.
  *   Developing and completing preventive maintenance checklists.

Job Requirements:

  *   Provide support for customers, other system administrators, installation team, and the maintenance team, with utmost courteous and attentive level
  *   Mentor junior level team members
  *   Assists in scheduling of tasks within an assigned project when needed
  *   Perform server hardware configuration changes, server updates and decommissions.
  *   Troubleshoot server hardware failures 
  *   Manages the deployment of appropriate security patches, hot fixes, and software updates
  *   Installs, tests, and maintains a variety of Access Control and CCTV software systems, running on local area network and wide area network connections
  *   Assists user community in software and hardware problem resolution
  *   Provide advanced application and environmental support
  *   Provide training on software systems to customers as directed
  *   Understand the maintenance of both a LAN and the WAN
  *   Assists in presenting to management recommendations related to purchasing and installing hardware, software, and telecommunications equipment
  *   Understand managing LAN security and monitors network performance
  *   Participates in the development of policies, procedures, and resources that standardize the functioning of the network
  *   Enforces IT standards and educates team about compliance issues
  *   Installs, tests, and maintains a variety of personal computing and network hardware and software systems, with local area network and wide area network connections
  *   Performs diagnostic tests, modifies or repairs hardware to the board or component level
  *   Assists user community in software and hardware problem resolution
  *   Keeps up to date with current trends and is prepared to make recommendations
  *   Must have experience putting together network drawing (layer 1 & 2).
  *   Create technical documentation for customers and in-house staff
  *   Keeps up-to-date documentation of applications, systems, and network equipment
  *   Produces support documentation
  *   Logs calls and takes appropriate action to ensure a satisfactory response with acceptable time frames for the user community
  *   Maintain and update customer site documentations
  *   Manage assigned tickets and assist in managing ticket queue on a daily basis
  *   Receive or assign service tickets and service all assigned tickets to the best of your abilities
  *   Create new tickets for un-ticketed work requests
  *   Update ticket fields upon receipt
Direct Job Requirements: 
1. Must have or be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance, candidates will be subject to additional security screening during the interview process to determine eligibility.
2. Requires one (1) + years of experience programming/administrating system
3. Requires one (1)+ years of experience with installation, troubleshooting and testing of electronics equipment
4. Requires system administrator experience in performing triage on system problems, resolving the system problems, analyzing system data to prevent problems, and implementing new workstations and system extensions
5. Requires a HS diploma/GED coupled with two (2) additional years of SA experience
6. Requires reliable attendance at customer site during work hours required by customer
7. Requires minimal travel to various sites in the program.
8. Must be able to successfully pass an extensive background check and obtain a security clearance 
9. Experience supporting DoD and/or Federal Government IT infrastructure, including IT infrastructure for Electronic Security Systems (ACS / IDS / CCTV / Biometrics) is strongly preferred.
10. Shall be appropriately certified in accordance with DoD Manual 8570.01-M/DoD 8140 in Security+ and/or CASP and/or CISSP within 6 - 12 months of date of hire

  *   Ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, and policies
  *   A working knowledge of these technologies: Microsoft Office; Windows server and client versions and related utilities; e-mail servers; networking technologies including Cisco router/switch administration; Ethernet and wireless networking and related protocols; VPN, remote access, and configurations of home PCs connected to the corporate network remotely; PDAs, cellular phones, pagers, and combinations thereof; hardware installation and support; system security techniques and firewall administration; Internet and Web technologies

Industry Related Experiences & Knowledge
  *   Tyco’s Software House Ccure 8000/9000 - Required within 3 months of hire
  *   Lenel, AMAG Symmetry, Bosch IDS, Honeywell Prowatch, Honeywell Maxpro, Avigilon, Genetec, and Milestone certifications and experience in installation of said systems.
  *   Attention to detail in the execution of Performance Verification Tests
  *   Troubleshoot and Repair electronic security systems
  *   Strong communication and writing skills
  *   Low-voltage security electronic devices
  *   Knowledge of AC/DC Circuits
  *   Understanding of Relay Logic
The candidate will be on-site for at least 8 hours each day.  The candidate will be available to respond to emergency trouble calls at nights and/or weekends to include holidays.
This is a 24/7/365 service desk operations position.
