Job Duties and Responsibilities

Physical Security/IndustrialSecurity Specialist

 

This position provides physicalsecurity (PS), industrial security, and cybersecurity support for collateral,SCI and SAP systems in accordance with ICD, DODM, legacy DCID/JAFAN, and otherDoD and national guidance for facilities with internal networks and guestsystems. Provides industrial security support to SAR acquisition programs.

 

Performance shall include:

• Assist Government securityauthorities in managing acquisition programs’ industrial security requirements

• Responsible for ensuringcompliance with DODM, ICD, or legacy DCID/JAFAN physical security and IArequirements and maintaining accreditation documentation

• Interface with HHQ forphysical and technical security (TEMPEST/TSCM) actions and procedures

• Conduct preconstructionreviews and makes recommendations for compliance with guidance forconstruction, expansion and modifications of facilities

• Assist Information AssuranceManagers with implementation of cybersecurity requirements

• Author, review and maintainfacility Certification and Accreditation documentation

• Assist with enforcement ofpersonnel security controls for visitors and un-cleared personnel requiringentry to the facility

• Enforce physical security controlsof electronic devices and prohibited items

• Identify Cybersecurity andphysical security vulnerabilities and ensure ICD/DODM compliance

• Conduct periodicself-inspections and implement corrective actions

• Implement local media controlpolicies and procedures

 

Experience:

• 6 - 8 years total experience,including minimum 4 years’ experience within SCI or SAR environment. Minimum 2years of SAP relevant experience highly desired.

 

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in arelated area or equivalent additional experience (4 years)

 

Certifications:

• Must meet position andcertification requirements outlined in DoD Directive 8570.01-M for InformationAssurance Manager Level 1 within 6 months of the date of hire

• Must complete ICD-705training (DSSA or NRO) within 6 months of the date of hire

 

Security Clearance:

• Current Top Secret Clearancewith SCI Eligibility

• Eligibility for access toSpecial Access Program Information

• Willingness to submit to aCounterintelligence polygraph

 

Other Requirements:

• Must be familiar withsecurity policy/manuals and the appropriate ICDs/JAFANs/DOD Manuals and otherguiding policy documents

• Must have the ability to workin a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DOD, military/civilianpersonnel and industry partners

• Working knowledge ofMicrosoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

• Possess a high degree oforiginality, creativity, initiative requiring minimal supervision

• Willingness to travel withinthe organizational Area of Responsibility (AOR) (note - could be extensive, andwill include both air and ground transportation)

 


Qualifications

Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and five to seven years of related experience and ability to obtain a security clearance.
