Penetration Tester, Senior

Key Role:

Use Red Team or adversarial processes and capabilities to conduct overt-focused target penetration testing, including Cooperative Vulnerability and Penetration Assessment (CVPA) of Air Force operational platforms through focused threat-based methodologies to expose and exploit vulnerabilities to evaluate and improve the Cyber resiliency of these platforms. Develop attack vectors, conduct reconnaissance, collect open-source intelligence, enumeration, and foot-printing of target platforms, networks, and services, reverse component engineer hardware and software, identify vulnerabilities, and develop exploit proof-of-concept payloads. Provide support through expertise in military avionics systems, including control buses, such as MIL-STD-1553 and messaging protocols, ARINC 429, CAN bus, real-time operating systems, embedded systems, and air platform communication physical or networking interfaces, including tactical data links and RF and satellite communication systems. Use reach-back support within Booz Allen to personnel with expertise in these technologies. Conduct penetration testing using tools and techniques to conduct Cyber vulnerability and penetration testing, participate in event planning stages to analyze the development of Cyber assessment plans, and conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of Air Force weapons systems and associated components. This position is located in Eglin Air Force Base, FL.

Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience with technical Cybersecurity

-5+ years of experience with Red Team, penetration, or offensive Cyber testing

-Experience with Bash scripting, basic Perl, Java, or Python, and malware analysis tools

-Knowledge of DoD networks and communications, Windows and UNIX, TCP/IP networking, wired and wireless technologies, and Kali Linux

-Knowledge of the functionalities and capabilities of computer network defense technologies, including Router ACLs, firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and Web content filtering

-Knowledge of industry standard Cybersecurity assessment tools and emerging technologies

-Ability to travel to stateside and international locations approximately 25% of the time

-Active Secret clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with multi-vector penetration testing using Metasploit preferred

-Experience with military avionics systems, including control bus, such as MIL-STD-1553, messaging protocols, such as ARINC 429, real-time operating systems, embedded systems, and air platform communication physical or networking interfaces, including tactical data links and RF and satellite communication systems

-Experience with test tool development and hardware software reverse engineering

-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including expressing highly technical concepts in widely comprehensible terms
-Active Top Secret clearance preferred; TS/SCI clearance a plus

-BA or BS degree

-8570 IAT Level III Certification preferred

-CEH and Offensive Security Certifications, including OSCP, GPEN, or GWAPT
