PCB Librarian / Electrical Engineer : TS/SCI Clearance required

Job Description

Designs and develops information processing hardware, computer systems and electrical components.

 

1. Conducts moderately complex research, design, development and testing of information processing hardware such as computer chips, circuit boards, computer systems and electrical components.

 

2. Demonstrated experience with ECAD libraries, creation of parts, and library configuration management using PML software.

 

3. Demonstrated experience with PCB layout and designs, and as a component librarian.

 

4. Demonstrated ability to use Web 2.0 tools such as wikis, blogs, and MicroSoft SharePoint.

 

5. Demonstrated understanding of standard IPC-A-600 and IPC-6012.

 

6. Demonstrated understanding of standards IPC-2221A, IPC-2222, and IPC-2223.

 

7. Designs new products and/or modifies existing products.

 

8. Develops technical specifications for production.

 

9. Analyzes hardware configuration and processing solutions.

 

10. Tests hardware performance to specifications.

 

11. Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced hardware engineers and may have supervisory responsibilities.

 

12. Serves as liaison with clients, participating in meetings to ensure client needs are met.

 

13. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

 

14. Participates in special projects as required.

Education

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Qualifications

8-10 years of related hardware engineering experience.

 

IPC Certified Interconnect Designer (CID), IPC Certified Interconnect Designer (CID+), and current IPC member preferred.

 

Experience with Mentor Graphics PADS or comparable Printed Circuit ECAD tools preferred.
