Description
SAIC is seeking a part-time Air Traffic Control Specialist to support the FAA Terminal Flight Data Manager (TFDM) Program Office. The successful candidate will assist the program with a variety of activities included: Systems Engineering and Integration; Acquisition and Operational Planning and Analysis; Site Adaptation and Configuration Management; and Implementation Training. The support will include providing analysis and recommendations to support the FAA in identifying and managing TFDM program interdependencies, assisting in the integration with other FAA programs, providing recommendations, analysis and facilitating program management efforts and assisting in the fiduciary management oversight.
You will also support stakeholder management and other collaboration planning meetings and provide the FAA, as required, with draft concept of operations (ConOps) service analysis and alternatives strategy whitepapers. Specific tasks include providing analysis of alternative approaches, dependency-mapping tables, impact statements for proposed program service direction changes, and guidance material for the TFDM Program Manager to assist with decision making, planning, deployment, implementation, and training.
Some travel may be required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s
Degree in a related discipline as required as well as 10+ years’
experience as an air traffic control specialist.
- Air
Traffic Control (ATC) full performance level (FPL) experience or
equivalent (e.g. military controller, contract tower, commercial dispatch
operations, etc.)
- Knowledge
of the 7110.65 and its application in the NAS
- Understanding
of the FAA’s automation and traffic management systems
- Excellent
written and verbal communication skills using both technical and
user-friendly language;
- Possess
a flexible personality, self-motivated and willingness to multi-task;
- Detailed-oriented
mindset and proficiency in researching and analyzing highly technical
information and systems;
- Strong
interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as a
part of a team;
- Proven
communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as, have the
ability to identify and resolve issues to maximize the benefit of system
investments.
- Excellent
troubleshooting skills
- Proven
analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
- Skilled
in using MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability
to satisfy FAA resume approval
- US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
