Operations Research Analyst, Senior

Key Role:

Analyze the actual and predictable interacting operational activities of a military, governmental, or business system to obtain a quantitative, rational basis for decision making or resource allocation. Leverage expertise in modeling and measuring techniques, mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational mathematical techniques, and other principles and laws of scientific and economic disciplines in determining solutions. Provide work leadership to junior employees, as needed. Design, develop, implement, and lead multiple analysis efforts across multiple teams and staff directorates within the Joint and Special Operations community, identify, design, and execute multi-disciplinary, including mathematical, research, technical, and visualization approaches and translate them into cohesive analysis results. Verify and validate data, models, and analysis results, serve as the primary interface between a multi-disciplinary research and analysis team and government client, serve as a theater-wide environmental analysis expert, and integrate contextual understanding of the operational environment into analysis findings and reports. Author highly distilled and high-fidelity reports that inform command decision processes, implement computerized visualization software to articulate analysis results, design multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) processes, and coach subordinate staff to execute these processes.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with operations and systems analysis (ORSA)

-Experience with the design, development, and visualization of mathematical, statistical, and econometric methods and techniques

-TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree
 

Additional Qualifications:

-7+ years of experience with the design, development, and visualization of mathematical, statistical, econometric, and other scientific methods and techniques

-MA or MS degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or a related field preferred; PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or a related field a plus
 

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
