We are looking for a team member that can empower the operating system engineering team by providing innovative automation solutions that deliver Windows client systems to our customer. This will enable the technology teams to deliver consistent results while improving user experience and information assurance posture. These automated operating system deployment solutions will ensure workstation integrity throughout the engineering and implementation lifecycle while reducing manual efforts. Our team will foster the adoption of these automated solutions through effective communication, documentation and education. Strict adherence to a project schedule ensures compliance with contractual deliverables for the customer and ultimately drives revenue. The operating systems engineer reports directly to the Product Owner on a small (2-5) team of engineers.

The applicant must be skilled at updating operating system deployment methods for new hardware models in large-scale, global corporate IT environments. Motivated to improve end-user IT experiences by minimizing end-user downtime, reducing issues within mission critical corporate systems, and streamlining IT processes through both custom and “common off the shelf” automation technologies.

Our customer’s network, the Navy Next Generation Network (NGEN) enterprise surmises over 300,000 workstations. This environment is rivaled only by the Internet with regards to size. The position requires the engineer to analyze complex performance problems and develop comprehensive solutions by way of the best technical means.
