NonDestructive Testing Level 3

Raytheon Precision Manufacturing (RPM) is a leader in high precision mechanical product manufacturing. The business unit has over 450 employees, and consists of multiple shifts in the Dallas area. RPM is experiencing growth with its primary focus being in the defense and aerospace markets. We are currently seeking a highly motivated, organized individual with a great attitude and experience to join our growing team.

Job Description:

NonDestructive Testing Level 3

Please Note: This position can be a Salary Grade G07 or Salary Grade G08 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

Provide NDT expertise that leads to superb quality and manufacturing process improvements for a top tier aerospace and defense business. The job serves Raytheon Precision Manufacturing, a metal fabrication facility in Dallas that supports precision products across the Raytheon enterprise. You will interface at all levels of the organization from operators on the shop floor, to the site leadership team, to the product line chief engineers and above. The challenges will allow you to make your mark in the industry while you expand your skills.

Required Skills:

  • 2 years experience performing NDT (Level 2 or higher) on metal parts
  • NDT Level 3 (NAS410 or equivalent) in Computed Tomography, Radiographic Testing, Penetrant Inspection, Magnetic Particle Testing, Ultrasonic Testing
  • Experience inspecting and improving products fabricated by welding, casting, and other metal fabrication processes
  • Demonstrated communication skills: technical writing, written and oral presentation
  • The ability to obtain and/or maintain a DoD Secret Security clearance

Desired Skills:

  • Radiation Safety Officer experience (dosimetry, safe operations, compliance with state regulations)
  • Experience with specifications: AMS 2175, AWS D17.1, ASTM E1417, ASTM E1444, ASTM E1742
  • Materials engineering knowledge
  • Process control skills, SPC, quality control
  • Experience with additive manufacturing of metals

Education:
BS in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM)
