JOB DESCRIPTION | |||||||
STG, a wholly owned subsidiary of SOS International LLC (SOSi), is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist in Charleston, SC. The ideal candidate will possess experience in Desktop/Helpdesk support services. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES • Under close supervision, perform initial configuration and installation of computer hardware, software, and peripherals • Identify, log and resolve technical problems with software applications and network systems • Upgrade software and hardware on existing computers • Deliver timely service and solutions for desktop operating systems, Office Suite, Outlook, and desktop hardware issues • Provide effective communication to a wide variety of people in a professional manner, face to face, on the telephone, and in writing • Participate in required training, reviews and meetings |

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS | |||||||
• Security Clearance: Secret / must have Interim Secret to start • Education: Two-year degree in Information Technology or relevant field or High School Graduate with four years of relevant experience • Certifications: Entry level IT Certification • 1 year of Computer network installation, administration and maintenance • Must be able to lift 50lbs • Knowledge and experience with: • Microsoft Office Suite • Windows Server 2008 and 2012 • Windows 7 and Windows 10 Operating Systems • Local area network hardware infrastructure • Desktop computer hardware • Network Printers • Knowledge and abilities in the administration of Microsoft Exchange • Knowledge and abilities in the administration of Active Directory |

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION | |||||||
• Prefer a four-year degree in Information Technology or relevant field and three years of relevant experience WORK ENVIRONMENT • Work environment is normal for office setting in a multiple building campus (closely located) located in a Federal Facility • The workday is 8-hour and 45-minutes including a 45-minute non-compensated lunch • Core hours are from 9am-3pm • This position could transition to a rotating shift from 7:00am-3:45pm or 8:45am-5:30pm (client’s discretion) to allow the Desktop Support team to provide service between 7:00am-5:30pm |
