Network Engineer, Tier 2 DoD

ASRC Federal InuTeq is seeking a Network Engineer, Tier 2 for our High Performance Computing Modernization Program Integrated Technical Service (Restricted) (HITS-R) contract with the DoD.   As a company, we provide information security, enterprise architecture, software development and health IT solutions to federal government customers.   • Performs all aspects of network engineering including evaluation and architectural design, physically racking/stacking, and cabling systems and appliances as well as complete configuration and extended testing
  • Troubleshoot video endpoints
  • Work with off-site locations ensuring firewalls configured to allow VTC ports and protocols
  • Create and update network diagrams
  • Install, repair, inspect, and maintain network cabling and other hardware
  • Responsible for VTC configuration and remote set-up.

  • Troubleshoot video endpoints

 

 


Requirements

ASRC Federal InuTeq has an immediate position for a Network Engineer, Tier 2 to join our team in San Diego where we support a DoD customer.

  • Bachelor of Science and two to four (2-4) years of relevant experience or additional work experience may be substituted for degree
  • Security+ certification required; Network+ and  A+ certification is a plus
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with network equipment
  • Knowledge of network architecture/plans
  • Network experience with Juniper experience being preferred but Cisco experience and familiarity acceptable
  • Familiarity with COMSEC (Communications Security) is required.
  • Ability to create and update network diagrams
  • Minimum Secret clearance required; must be able to obtain/maintain Top Secret clearance.
  • Ability to install, repair, inspect and maintain network cabling and other hardware
  • Experience with VTC configuration and remote set-up a plus Movi/video endpoints is a plus
  • Experience with H.323 and SIP protocols
  • Knowledge of DISA STIG requirements
  • Experience with telepresence management suite is preferred but not required
