Network Engineer

Network Engineer

Key Role:

Analyze local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, evaluating, and selecting operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges, and other devices. Resolve interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms, including e-mail, files transfer, and multimedia. Manage the internetworking of various operating systems, including across both LAN and WAN. Monitor performance and stability of networks. Configure systems to user environments. Support the evaluation and acquisition of hardware and software, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience in a network engineering or network design and analysis role

-Experience with all phases of network designing, testing, implementing, operations, and maintenance

-Experience in monitoring firewalls and network performance and interacting with users to solve the most complex problems

-Experience with troubleshooting to identify and resolve problems or inadequacies of client or server operations and resolve complex problems to ensure no disruption of mission critical applications

-Experience with enforcing ongoing DoD and JTF GNO security policies on all servers and workstations and providing Active Directory and Exchange Server support to remote sites

-Experience with administering and supporting PKI or PKE, CAC, and SAN environments

-Ability to display excellent technical capabilities to support efforts in any one of the following: software development, database administration, Cloud Server configuration and design, or data science

-TS/SCI clearance

-BS degree in CS, Statistics, Mathematics, or Engineering

-Security + or CISSP Certification required

Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of Cisco CCNP Cloud and CCNP routing and switching

-Knowledge of security technologies, including TLS, IPSec, VPNs, ACLs, DNSSEC, and LDAP

-Knowledge of container solutions, including Docker and their configuration and implementation best practices

-Knowledge of text processing, including natural language processing (NLP), named entity recognition (NER), entity retrieval, such as SOLR or Lucene, topic extraction, summarization, and clustering

-Agile Development-, ITIL-, or Microsoft-related Certifications, including SCCM
