Network Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Serve as a network engineer interfacing with government clients, helping to shape their IT, networking, communication, and infrastructure. Apply expertise in direct, hands-on network engineering to help design, install, and maintain various Air Force (AF) network architectures. Troubleshoot and resolve highly technical core service outages and other complex IT system issues. Test and evaluate network systems to eliminate problems and improve client core enterprise services in support of AF users. Work effectively with stakeholders, including program and project managers, end users, and technical staff to develop, test, implement, and sustain critical IT infrastructure and security architectures, such as Cloud computing and networked systems. Work in a team-oriented environment that combines technical network engineering talent with business consulting expertise to deliver high quality IT solutions. This position is located in Lexington, MA.

Basic Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience with network administration or engineering in the DoD space

-Ability to work early and late shifts outside of core hours, as needed

-Active Secret clearance

-HS diploma or GED
 

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with working as part of a large IT-based team or project

-Experience with encryption devices

-Experience with one or more of the following: Palo Alto, McAfee Enterprise Firewall, Router Platforms, or TCP/IP v4 or v6

-Experience with using enterprise architecture tools, including SolarWinds, Kiwi, CatTools, or Orion

-Experience with COTS network infrastructure technologies

-Experience with Unified Capabilities (UC), VoIP, and non-UC voice capabilities

-Knowledge of industry best practices for designing, implementing, and maintaining network security and service availability throughout the system life cycle

-Ability to work in a diverse work environment

-Possession of excellent troubleshooting and conflict resolution skills

-Possession of excellent client-facing consulting skills

-BA or BS degree in a technical or engineering discipline preferred

-One or more of the following certifications: Blue Coat Security Certification or equivalent Web Proxy Certification, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Security or Routing and Switching Certification, VMware Certified Advanced Professional on vSphere 5 (VCAP5-DCA) Certification,

-VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV) Certification or equivalent experience, VMware Certified Professional (VCP-Cloud) Certification or equivalent experience, NetApp Certified Data Management Administrator (NCDA) Data ONTAP 7-Mode Administrator Certification or equivalent experience, EMC Certified Information Storage Associate (EMCISA) Certification or equivalent experience, Commvault Certified Professional Certification or equivalent experience, Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP) Certification, Certified Infoblox Core Administrator (CICA) Certification and experience with supporting Infoblox DNS, Red Hat Certificate of Expertise in Deployment and Systems Management, or Red Hat Certificate of Expertise in Server Hardening

-Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Certification and Associated Computing Environment Certification
