Description
SAIC is seeking a Mid-Level Network Engineer/Administrator to join a software development team under the Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) contract. The candidate will manage the continuous operation of servers, networks, and related infrastructure supporting the information systems. The candidate will also be responsible for installing new software releases, patches, updates and manage the overall hardware and software configuration to ensure it is up to date and the required security controls are properly implemented.
Job Responsibilities:
Design, implementation, configuration, and administration of Windows and Linux operating systems to support various applications
Design, implementation, configuration, and administration of small multi-tiered network with Cisco ASAs, WAPs, and network switches
Configure, monitor, and maintain virus protection software (McAfee ePo/HBSS), network and application scanners (Tenable Nessus, AppDetective), server logs
Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of experience in an IT corporate environment
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technologies or related field
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance
Ability to obtain DHS Suitability
Ability to work independently to overcome and solve problems
Experience with maintaining VMware ESXi hosts, HyperVisor, Docker, or related Virtual Machines
AWS EC2, S3, Route53, Traefik, RDS experience is A PLUS!!
Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining client network infrastructure, including Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls in an IT environment
Understanding of troubleshooting and resolving system issues on Windows and Linux operating systems
Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for administration tasks
Understand multiple systems and areas of functionality in a dynamic environment
Team player with excellent communication skills and positive attitude - Flexible, versatile, and adaptable to day to day activities
