Network Engineer 3 (Guam)

Northrop Grummanis seeking a Network Engineer 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals supporting the Navy's Triton UAS program. This position will be located at Andersen Air Base in Guam. The selected candidate will be responsible for thetesting,troubleshooting, configuration management, and sustainment of the UAS internet protocol network configurations throughout the program's lifecycle.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensuring that system is made operational and available, at times specified by the customer
  • Collecting and reporting system maintenance data metrics to support Reliability and Maintainability efforts
  • Ensuring the system is configured in accordance with the Program's Configuration and Data Management Plan

The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations and collaborative/team settings across all levels.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Masters Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) related field from an accredited institution.
  • Must have at least 5 Years of STEM related experience or 3 years with a Masters in a STEM related field.
  • Active DoD SECRET clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Certification
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Proficiency with Cisco routers and switches, WAN accelerators, and HAIPE encryptors
  • Experience with network technology preferred in the following areas: complex network infrastructures,routers, switches, gateways, firewall systems, multi-function switches, multiplexers, hubs, load balancers andsecurity devices
  • Quality of Service, multicast (PIM-SM/DM), OSPF, BGP, HSRP, NSA Type I encryption, VOIP, and IPSec tunneling, GRE tunneling
  • UDP/TCP and network technologies such as DNS, DHCP, TFTP, NAT
  • Network security practices, including IDS/IPS and ACLs
  • Experience with integrating networks in an unmanned aircraft system (UAS) environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
