Mobile Device Support Technician

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot sand resolves technical issues as they occur.
  • Provides basic system administration training to technical users
  • Troubleshoot sand resolves technical issues as they occur.
  • Provides basic system administration training to technical users
  • Daily monitoring of the Service Request Module (SRM) in the Remedy System
  • Daily monitoring of the Service Delivery Mailbox
  • Setup work space with IT equipment for Onboarding employees
  • Request creation of new SAMS account for onboarding employee
  • Ensure off boarding employees return assets issued to them
  • Issue IT assets to FPS employees as required
  • Package and ship IT assets to the regions when required or as needed
  • Update SAMS when new IT assets are acquired, moved, excessed, or recovered
  • Keep track of the movement of FPS assets
  • Assist with the moving of assets between FPS storage locations
  • Set-up and troubleshoot an end user’s iPhone  and/or  MiFi
  • Place orders for new devices or replacement devices
  • Maintain inventory of phone cases and accessories for wireless devices
  • Update wireless inventory in SAMS when devices need to be added, recovered and excessed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent n related field.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience troubleshooting mobile devises.
  • Ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD).

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active DHS Entry On Duty (EOD).
  • Relevant DHS focused experience.
  • PMP Certification.
