Missile Materials Analyst

Description:
Leidos is seeking a Missile Materials Analyst to support a client’s requirements in a challenging, dynamic setting located in the Washington Metropolitan Area. The position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance. There is no exception to the clearance requirement.

Successful candidates will work well in team environments and will be capable of operating independently with minimal supervision. Candidates will be expected to effectively interact with customer personnel at all levels within the customer organization. The Missile Materials Analyst will also be adept at mentoring junior colleagues and will be expected to present training courses and talks to both general and technical audiences on occasion.





Qualifications:

Required Skills: The Missile Materials Analyst must be knowledgeable of materials used in missile construction and their properties, to include their applications, design, performance and manufacture.
In addition, it is desirable that he or she understand missile manufacturing processes, quality control, work schedules and personnel management in the manufacturing environment. He or she must be able to use CAD software. Knowledge of 3D and additive manufacturing processes is also highly desirable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 12 years of experience is required, 15 or more years of experience is desired. A Bachelor’s Degree is required, an advanced degree is preferred.
