Mid-Level Systems Engineer - FAA


SAIC is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the FAA National Airspace System (NAS) Lifecycle Planning Division. Responsibilities include the coordination and development of products for the Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen) Portfolio Managers and performing technical and quality assurance reviews of products to ensure alignment with the agency’s strategic objectives; assisting with status reporting and preparation of various briefings on NextGen efforts; conducting research, evaluations, analyses, and studies; and presenting technical recommendations/solutions to meet short and long-term project/program planning requirements.

The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to interface and communicate with multiple customers on a daily basis.


· A Bachelor of Science degree or higher in an engineering discipline.

· Must have a minimum of 6 years related experience with FAA NAS systems preferred.

· Excellent writing and communication/presentation skills.

· Strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to interact positively with multiple customers

· Ability to complete complex technical and analytical tasks, including risk analysis and mitigation planning

· Experience preparing and briefing technical presentations in informal and formal meetings Proficiency using MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)

· US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance required

Desired Qualifications


• Prior experience as a systems engineer supporting the FAA
• Familiarity with FAA NAS and NextGen programs
