Mission Essential is seeking Geospatial Intelligence Analysts to utilize GIS software applications and other automated tools to conduct geospatial analysis.  The GIS Analyst produces geospatially-referenced data/multi-layered graphics/maps of varying scale and scope, conduct database/product validation/management, and disseminate geospatial data and products to relevant COCOM consumers.


Minimum Requirements

Geospatial Intelligence Analysts must possess an active TS/SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain a polygraph.  All Analysts must be familiar with ODNI analytical standards.  Due to contract requirements, as an essential job function you must be qualified and able to travel to OCONUS locations on short notice. Due to contract requirements you must maintain a valid United States Passport and remain qualified to travel OCONUS on short notice. Geospatial Intelligence Analysts may be required to work extended hours or shifts as directed.

·         Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Geography or one of the Geospatial Sciences, combined with 4-5 years applied GIS experience, OR at least 10 years of applied GIS experience

·         At least one or more of the following additional highly desired experience factors:

o   All-Source Analysis

o   Use of Geographic Information Systems in demographic modeling

o   Prior deployments/US assignments to Iraq, the Levant, Arabian Peninsula or Afghanistan/Pakistan with experience supporting Special Operations Forces and Civil Affairs Operations

·         Proficient using ArcGIS Desktop/ArcGIS Pro (or equivalent) as an analytic, data visualization, and map production tool for all-source information

·         Experience in the following areas:

o   Geodata discovery collection, capture, conversion and formatting

o   Geodata storage, organization, and management

o   Data aggregation, manipulation, standardization, and management

o   Structured Query Language (SQL) syntax, spatial queries, tabular/aspatial queries, and Boolean logic

o   Qualitative and quantitative mapping methods

o   Map compilation, design, production, interpretation, and data visualization

o   Geocoding, geolocation, and georeferencing.

Desired Requirements

Geospatial Intelligence Analysts may be required to work extended hours or shifts as directed.
