Summary:

TheMid-Level All Source IntelligenceAnalyst (Counter Terrorism) will leverage intelligence enterprise systems, tools, capabilities,research methods, policy, and deep, analytic and critical thinking capacitiesto produce and deliver timely and comprehensive analyses and judgments for thedeclassification of documents.

Duties andResponsibilities:

  • Review, analyze, and research classifiedinformation in support of detainee litigation proceedings.
  • Identify classified information based uponguidance from DoD Component Original Classification Authorities.
  • Make recommendations for classificationand declassification of information in coordination with DoD Component OriginalClassification Authorities.
  • Structures analytic questions based on trendsin reporting and a range of analytic perspectives from other analysts,organizations, and intelligence disciplines.
  • Assist in coordinating with other DoD andnational agencies, Combatant Commands and departments for classification anddeclassification of equities.
  • Assist in preparing executive-levelbriefings.
  • Otherduties as assigned

MinimumQualifications: (Toperform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Bachelor’s degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
  • 8+ years of experience relevant to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph required.

Knowledge, Skillsand Abilities:

  • Experience in reviewing, analyzing andresearching information for classification and declassification purposes in avariety of documents highly desired
  • Applying guidance from DoD Component OriginalClassification Authorities to the analysis highly desired.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive mission knowledgeand skills that affirm completion of all developmental training and experiencesfor the labor category description.
  • Knowledgeable and demonstrate ability to applyIC and DoD classification guidelines and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate understanding frominformation that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, seeminglyunrelated, and/or technically advanced.
  • Ability to use logic and systematic approachesto gather, evaluate, and synthesize multiple sources of information.
  • Ability to work independently with minimaloversight and direction.
  • Ability to use logic when evaluating andsynthesizing multiple sources of information.
  • Ability interpreting analysis to include, butis not limited to, its meaning, importance, and implications.
  • Ability to defend analytic judgments withsound, logical conclusions and adapt analytic judgments when presented with newinformation, evolving conditions, or unexpected developments.
  • Ability to produce timely, logical, andconcise analytic reports, documents, assessments, studies, and briefingmaterials in formats including Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Excel, Word,PowerPoint, etc.), electronic/soft copy matrices and / or web-enabled formats.
  • Ability to communicate complex issues clearlyin a concise and organized manner both verbally and non-verbally; with stronggrammar skills.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to develop structured researchincluding, but not limited to, obtaining, evaluating, organizing, andmaintaining information within security and data protocols.
  • Ability to recognize nuances and resolvecontradictions and inconsistencies in information.
  • Ability to collaborate and work with other IC memberson information sharing, driving collection, and addressing analytic disputesand conflict resolution.
  • Ability to develop concise, insightful, andcomprehensive products for defense intelligence.
  • Ability to guide teams in researchingmultifaceted or critical problems.

  • While performing the duties of thisJob, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear.   • The employee will normally work ina temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure toelectronic office equipment.
  • During visits to areas ofoperations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborneparticles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
