Microsoft SQL DBA

Job Description

GDIT is seeking a MS SQL DBA to support our newly awarded Army Analytics Group (AAG) contract located in Fairfield, California. The ideal candidate must have the following: 

 

Advanced MS SQL 2008 R2 Administration, Configuration and Tuning,  Advanced Windows 2008R2 tuning for MS SQL 2008R2,  Intermediate/Advanced Windows 2008R2 Administration and Configuration,  Advanced DISA Gold, Army Gold Master configurations on MS SQL 2008 Databases, Intermediate App Detective MS SQL 2008 scanning and remediating according to   Industry best practices. 

  • Performs complex systems development and design work that may include logic design, I/O design, firmware development, model formulation, manufacturing and development cost projections, computer architecture analysis and design, and analog or digital systems engineering.
  • Performs systems modeling, simulation, and analysis.
  • Participates in the upgrading of operating systems and design of systems enhancements.
  • Provides input for documentation on new or existing systems.
  • Develops and conducts tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system problems.
  • Provides system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance.
  • Determines system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
  • May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced systems engineers.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
  • Participates in special projects as assigned.
Education

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.

Qualifications

Contractual Requirements:

 

High School + 10 yrs. similar experience, or AA/AS + 8yrs, or BS/BA + 5 yrs.

 

·      Must have SECRET clearance or interim SECRET clearance

·      Must have an IAT II Certification, e.g., Security + CE, or within 6 months of start date
