Mgr III Systems Engineering - Integrated Product Team Lead

The THAAD Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) Deployment, Fielding, and Sustainment (DFS) IPT Lead reports directly to the Whole Life Engineering Directorate (WLED) Senior Manager for the Mission Systems and Sensors Business Area. This individual is responsible for overall leadership of the IPT to include finalizing this capture opportunity thru the proposal process, coordinating program start-up activities, and executing the delivery of the products and services. Throughout these activities, the DFS IPT lead will work directly with the Raytheon THAAD KSA program management team and will be responsible for maintaining the primary interface with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) counterparts to ensure key hand-offs are identified, any issues/challenges are surfaced and resolved in a timely manner, corresponding risks and opportunities are identified and managed and products/services are delivered on time and on-schedule.

General responsibilities of this position include;

  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise to program logistics engineering and specialty engineering planning and execution to include transition from a 2-level maintenance strategy for the legacy THAAD system to a 3-level maintenance strategy specific to KSA.
  • Provide leadership and management to the various functional CPTs to ensure effective and efficient delivery of products and services from within the IPT.
  • Execute within Raytheon and customer program organization to achieve technical, cost, and schedule requirements during IPDS Gates 4 thru 11 to include management of associated risks and opportunities.
  • Generate and present DFS IPT contribution to Program Working Groups, Program Management Reviews.
  • Provide DFS IPT inputs to Estimate at Completion (EACs).
  • Domestic and international travel is required.
This position is a Salary Grade G11 position.

Required Skills:
  • Ten (10) + years’ experience of IPT, CPT, or Program, or equivalent leadership/management.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross functional teams
  • Experience planning and executing life cycle sustainment of complex systems
  • Experience in developing Performance Measurement Baselines, implementing EVMS, developing and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules, and Risk & Opportunity Management
  • Experience with Six Sigma or other continuous improvement or streamlining methodology
  • Ability to obtain or currently possess a Secret Clearance (DoD)
  • Raytheon EVMS, or equivalent, certification
Desired Skills:
  • Experience planning and executing 3-level life cycle sustainment/maintenance strategies for complex systems
  • Familiarity with Ground Based Radar Technology
  • Familiarity with DoD programs/contracts
  • Subcontract Management experience
  • Experience with the Agile framework and SCRUM execution
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Experience managing through organizational change and rapid growth
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by influence and collaboration
  • International, preferably KSA, assignment experience
Required Education (including Major):
  • BS/BA degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or a Technical Discipline or 8+ years of professional related experience may be considered in lieu of BS/BA
