Mgr III Material Program Mgmt

As a Material Program Manager (Manager III, Material Program Management) you will lead all supply chain activities for a portfolio of programs within the Missile Defense business area.

This is a results-oriented role with an emphasis on customer satisfaction and risk management. Your general responsibilities will include leading a team of Material Program Managers (MPMs) each deployed to a program or Integrated Product Team. You will have accountability for supplier performance, subcontract management (including material and services), proposal development, and budget ownership.

Position can be located in Woburn, MA.

Specific responsibilities include:
  • Lead all supply chain activities supporting Missile Defense Development and Production Programs
  • Develop and communicate global supply chain strategies in alignment with the goals of the business and the supply chain organization
  • Management of a team of MPMs supporting Development, Production, and Test Programs
  • Supporting planning, execution and reporting of material and labor budgets, sales, and contributing to EAC inputs
  • Serving as a key contributor in a Cross Business Team environment
  • Leading proposal efforts for Supply Chain
  • Developing and executing a material strategy
  • Supporting development and execution of risk and opportunity management plans, including 6 Sigma activities
  • Supporting leadership reviews, including Gate reviews, Monthly Operations Reviews, Customer and Program Reviews.
  • Supporting the operational, technical and financial health of subcontracting / material through assessments, measurements and metrics

Required Skills
  • 10 years of relevant business experience
  • Experience leading or participating in cross-functional teams
  • Ability to obtain an Interim level secret clearance within 30 days of employment and a final thereafter


Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree

Desired Skills:

  • MPM Certification
  • Manufacturing, Finance, Procurement, or Operations management experience
  • Experience using Product Data Management tools and MRP systems such as PRISM
  • EVMS Certification
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally at Senior Leadership levels
  • Risk Management experience
  • Knowledge and experience working with FAR, DFAR
  • Knowledge of Export/Import requirements
  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
