Mgr III Manufacturing

Job Description:
This position will be the production manager for a micro-electronics manufacturing facility with a production team of 7 supervisors and 120 production associates. They will develop a manufacturing team that understands the importance of good manufacturing data, and develop data collection systems to optimize factory operations. This position will coordinate productivity improvement studies for an advanced manufacturing facility and be a change agent for a continuously improving production environment. Candidate will be tasked with implementing continuous improvement methods utilizing Lean Manufacturing Principles, and be capable of motivating their team to be involved in waste reduction efforts. In addition to developing a continuous improvement culture, this individual will ensure that all production work is performed in a safe manner and in compliance with AS9100 standards. Finally, the production manager will be responsible for updating the factory capacity model on a monthly basis to ensure that the factory staffing and resource plans are current and accurate.

Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 12 years of relevant manufacturing or production management experience
- Experience with lean implementation and information technology systems
- Strong people leadership, problem solving, and project management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Thorough knowledge and skills in Microsoft Excel
- Strong team and individual developmental / coaching skills
- Ability to think strategically and determine long-term impact of decisions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
- Ability to develop innovative solutions to improve efficiency and lower assembly costs
- Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance

Required Education:
- Minimum of Bachelors degree in Operations, Management, Industrial Engineering or other related discipline
