Mgr III Electrical Engrg - Receiver Exciter Signal Processing

We have an exciting opportunity for a manager of the staff section in the Receiver Exciter Signal Processing (RESP) Department. The RESP Department is the focal point for receiver, exciter, and signal processing technology. The department is responsible for the design, development, integration, support to production builds and the lifecycle of our RESP products.
The RESP section staff manger will contribute to the technical development within the department, lead efforts, and possess demonstrated innovative technical capability in Receiver Exciter design and Radar Signal Processing.
Direct reports to staff manager are a group of highly skilled senior engineers with a diverse skill set that develop engineering solutions and lead teams addressing our most challenging technical and program needs. The staff managermust have broad and deep experience to provide guidance to further the RESP staff’s endeavors.


This role includes support to the department in both the Marlborough and Tewksbury, MA facilities. The staff section manager will report to the RESP department manager and accept delegation of certain department manager roles.

Basic/Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experiencein the field of engineering focused on Hardware or Software DevelopmentExperience in the architecture, requirements flow down, design, test and delivery of Receiver Exciters and/or Radar Signal ProcessorsMust be comfortable with complex issues that span multiple domains of electrical, RF, digital and softwareAbility to lead teams of 8 to 12 engineersExperience/participation in proposal development (Cost and Technical) Excellent Interpersonal and Multi-tasking Skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience with program cost and schedule monitoring and reporting Experience with Raytheon Integrated Product Development System or similar business processesExperience interfacing with suppliers to achieve critical performance requirementsActive DOD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Qualifications:

High degree of creativity and ability to solve a wide range of difficult problemsAbility to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
  • Experience in Task Management or other lead roles on larger development assignments
  • Experience as an Integrated Product Team or Cross Product Team Lead
  • Ability to work across business areas, manage diverse tasks, requirements and commitments and interface successfully with numerous disciplines
  • Experience using program management tools such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Plan (IMP) / Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Risk and Opportunity Management to identify issues and develop recommended courses of action to management
  • Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or Computer Science (Advance Degrees preferred)
