Raytheon Missile Systems is looking for a dynamic leader to fill a challenging supplier program manager position within supply chain.
The Raytheon Internal Transfer Order (IOT) Supplier Program Manager (SPM) is a strong leader with demonstrated project management skills and strong business acumen. The selected SPM will lead a diverse group of supply chain professionals, including subcontract managers and supplier engineers, with the ability to lead by influence across many other functions.
The successful candidate is a passionate professional who is able to lead by personal example, develop talent, and build strong relationships. This person should have significant supply chain and/or program management experience and have experience managing risks and opportunities, budgets, earned value, and direct reports. The SPM must work to enable efficiencies and be a change agent that is skilled in driving key financial metrics.
Responsibilities include:
Lead a team of professionals, investing time in developing employees by actively coaching, teaching, and mentoring teammates to maximize overall team performance
Manage a diverse portfolio of over $150M in annual revenue through selected internal suppliers crossing multiple technology areas
Full accountability for overall supplier performance to a technical baseline with firm cost and aggressive schedule requirements
Drive cost and schedule efficiencies by pro-actively mitigating risks and capturing opportunities while advocating for necessary resources effectively
Work collaboratively across all other functions and across multiple business units within Raytheon while supporting numerous major programs
Develop and enhance relationships up to, and including, executive leadership teams

Utilize strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence key decision makers and drive collaboration with the program teams
Bachelor’s Degree in STEM field, finance, management, contracting or similar
Minimum of 8 years of combined relevant experience
Relevant leadership experience
Active Secret Clearance
Experience managing a portfolio with $100M+ in annual sales
Previous work assignments in multiple functions, such as engineering, finance, supply chain, and program management
Significant IPT leadership experience
Expertise in Raytheon’s Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) and experience leading program gating process
Strong knowledge of the FAR and DFAR, and defense contracts and sub-contracts
Track record of leading successful negotiations
Experience as a CAM and/or Earned Value Management System (EVMS) certified
Master’s Degree in Business Administration, finance, contract management or similar training
Raytheon or equivalent Six Sigma Specialist certification
Raytheon Program Manager certified or external equivalent
Raytheon Material Program Manager certified or external equivalent
Raytheon Subcontract Manager certified or external equivalent
