Mgr II Financial Analysis

Air Warfare Systems (AWS) Product Line has an April 2019 opening for a Finance Manager for JSOW & MALD combined Programs. The JSOW & MALD programs annual sales are projected to be $300M in 2019, driven by major Production and Development contracts. Current customers are the USN, several FMS countries and the USAF. Both programs foresee significant growth in production driven by the addition of new FMS countries and future USN awards. Both programs have been awarded development contracts for advanced variations of the current configuration of JSOW & MALD.

A key requirement for this position is the ability to provide strategic financial leadership for the program in areas such as cost management, program execution, and new business capture. Both JSOW & MALD sales are heavily driven by production contracts. However, MALD was recently awarded a contract with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) requirements. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of EVMS concepts and procedures. Responsibilities for the JSOW & MALD Manager will include the coordination and preparation of the Program’s Five Year and Annual Operating Plans, quarterly Estimates at Completion/Return of Net Assets (EAC/RONA) presentations, monthly financial forecasts, monthly financial status and variance analysis reporting.

The JSOW & MALD Finance team consists of 5 direct reporting analysts from various skill levels and stages in their careers that work together to support all aspects of the program’s business management needs. Interested candidates should have prior Finance Management experience along with a proficiency in Finance reporting systems and processes. The successful candidate will have the ability to work relatively independently, be self-motivated, and comfortable with new challenges. Good communications skills are also required, along with the ability to effectively interact with multiple layers within the organization, and to make recommendations for appropriate solutions. Candidate must have ability to work with JSOW & MALD Program Office, Contracts, Supply Chain, and other functions are critical for success in this position.

Minimum Required Skills:
BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Math, Economics, or related field and minimum of 8 years experience in financial analysis or related experience or a related Master’s degree and 6 years of experience
Knowledgeable of program control responsibilities which include meeting internal requirements such as preparing EACs, monthly forecasts, and financial direction.
Ability to provide strategic financial leadership for the JSOW & MALD including areas such as cost management, program execution, and new business capture.
Knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) concepts, procedures and processes.
Applicants should be proficient in SAP, PRISM, Business Warehouse, Microsoft
Working knowledge of financial planning concepts, processes, and systems (RPlan, Program on a Page)
Ability to develop effective and respectful partnerships across Program Office, Engineering, Operations, Contracts, and Supply Chain
Strong written and verbal skills
Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance

Highly Desired Skills:
Prior Finance Team Lead experience, with demonstrated experience effectively leading/motivating/developing team members
Ability to ensure program performance to plan and early identification of potential problem areas along with development and implementation of corrective actions
Ability to quickly assimilate into the Program and become influential within the program/production line
