Mgr II Eng Logistics

The Logistics Manager will be responsible for program management plan implementation utilizing standard Program Management processes to support current and new tasks & contracts. This entails working with responsible Integrated Product Team (IPT) and Cross Business Team (CBT) leads to ensure execution adherence to cost and schedule baselines, and to prepare bids for new work. The Logistics Manager will work alongside several Program Management Office (PMO) staff members to ensure metrics tracked are sufficient and proactive to drive successful program execution.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordination with US Government program & contract office personnel as well as Foreign Military Sale (FMS) customers.
  • Maintain the Retrofit Visibility Guides (RVG) / Engineering Change Procedure (ECP) status database that tabulates installed configuration, planned upgrades, and pending new requirements.
  • Serve as the Control Account Mgr. (CAM) for allocated Logistics funding; maintains tracking book and writes regular reports; briefs PMO on a monthly basis.
    Coordinates with the Program Manager and his staff to complement current execution where needed, and plan for new requirements.
  • Coordinates with in-country Technical Assistance Logistics Manager, keeping track of requirements (e.g. critical spares; planes for range testing, etc.)
  • Coordinates with Huntsville based US Army personnel Security Assistance Management Directorate (SAMD/ Lower Tier Program Office (LTPO) as required to support Logistics tasks.
Required Skills:

  • Eight (8)+ years of Engineering and Program Management experience
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVMS )Principles or related systems and tools
  • Prior leadership experience (Frontline or project leader)
Desired Skills:
  • Ability to work with and coordinate with IADC WLED, EDD, MED, ISC, Quality & IPT personnel to remedy Patriot readiness needs (troubleshooting, repairs, upgrades, new requirements, etc.) and plan for desired or necessary Patriot upgrades
  • Prior experience on an Integrate Air Missile Defense Program
  • Familiarity and working knowledge of PDM,PRISM, WEBVIEW, DOORS
  • Ability to prepare Gate reviews IAW Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) and present at PMO and Department reviews
  • Ability to Deliver services that meets contractual, quality, cost and schedule requirements
  • Ability to travel both Domestic as well as occasional overseas travel and coordination with customers
  • Demonstrated experience using the standard Microsoft Office Suite as well as MS Project
  • Familiarity with risk management process and tools
  • Knowledge of Agile
Required Education:
  • BS/BA in Engineering, Business or related field or equivalent combination of related experience and education. 8+ years of related field experience in Lieu of a BS/BA (each two years of related experience can substitute for one year of education)
