Mgr I Logistics

Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services is looking for an independent, self-motivated Logistics Warehouse and Property Manager to lead our Logistics and Asset Management (LAM) warehouse operations in El Paso, Texas. The Logistics Manager reports to the NWS LAM Acting Manager and will work from the Ft. Bliss Hangar location. This role may also be responsible for the Montana site operations. The LAM manager will be actively involved in the daily operations, provide guidance and leadership to their functional support team to ensure compliance, process alignment, schedule execution and ensure that programs are executed within budget.

The logistics manager is responsible for all aspects of El Paso logistics support and will manage a team that will support on-site and off-site warehouse operations, receiving, stores, material control and fulfillment, kitting, property, and packaging and shipping. This individual will be required to create Basis of Estimates (BOE) inputs for all El Paso logistics proposal efforts. Daily interface and coordination with Operations, IPT Lead, Program Management and Mission Assurance is required and is a key element to the success of the entire operation.

The position requires close interface with the SC IPT Lead and/or PM on upcoming workload to provide advance planning and recommended logistics & asset management solutions. Daily coordination with Production Control (Operations) on workload priorities must be established to support contract delivery schedules. The individual in this position will be required to represent LAM in meetings and program reviews which may include preparing and presenting ideas and strategies, will operate independently in planning, scheduling, and prioritizing daily activities with their support team and will be required to foster a highly collaborative team environment while developing and maintaining a high level of morale within their team.

The responsible individual will develop and deploy functional strategies to drive process efficiency and accuracy throughout the Logistics process while addressing continuous improvement. These strategies must be compliant to Government regulations and in accordance with Raytheon policies and procedures

Required Skills:
  • Demonstrated successful track record of managing, developing and mentoring individuals.
  • Must have demonstrated communication and critical thinking skills with a proactive approach to organizational tasks and duties.
  • Must have prior experience in property and managing a logistics operation with personnel management and administration.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Must be able to develop and monitor key performance measurement (metrics) and prepare various Logistics reports in support of internal, government, and other program requirements.
  • Experience and successful execution in preparing Proposals and Basis of Estimates (BOE) for logistics and asset management functions in support of program pursuits.
  • Raytheon Earned Value Management (EVM) Certification must be achieved within six months of selection.
  • Knowledge of government contracts and FAR rules and regulations.
  • Excellent computer skills are required and consist of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Project, Visio and PowerPoint.
  • Responsible for developing strategies to address continuous improvement and enterprise best practices, identifying and analyzing logistics process deficiencies and providing solutions to address a variety of complex inventory, warehousing, shipping and scheduling requirements.
  • Knowledge of Property systems and experience working with material and/or property systems.
  • Travel may be required.
Desired Skills:
  • Proven experience in a Material Consolidation, Manufacturing and Depot, Production or Performance Based Logistics (PBL) environment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Property Management in a government contractor environment.
  • Certified Professional Property Specialist (CPPS) desired.
  • Broad knowledge of Import/Export requirements and hazardous material management.
  • Knowledge of Visual Basic, Project and Enterprise level reporting and data analysis tools a plus.
  • Core knowledge of SAP/PRISM software system including expert knowledge of the IM/WM modules.
  • Working knowledge of ALCS.
  • Front Line Leadership training and Six Sigma Specialist desired.

Required Education (including Major):

6 Years, with related Bachelor’s degree. Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of education requirements.
