Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Business Development Manager of Missile Defense Systems to develop and mature business opportunities (or lead and win new business pursuits) and help keep critical re-compete programs.
This position will require up to 25% travel, and will ideally be located in McLean, VA; however, we will also consider Huntsville, AL, and Colorado Springs, CO.
In this position, the selected candidate will be responsible for the following:

- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8 years of related experience
- Experience with business development and capture
- Experience and adeptness in communicating and collaborating with business executives and technical professionals of various
levels.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically; motivate/energize a team and ability to develop and implement creative
strategies to win new business
- Executive business acumen with excellent written and verbal communications
- Experience in translating customer views & pain points and market data into new opportunities
- Knowledge and experience with missile defense or aerospace systems
- Knowledge of the Department of Defense acquisition processes
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance |
- Degree in STEM related discipline; advanced degree is preferred
- Proven experience with missile defense business development and capture
- Experience leading opportunity pursuit efforts with a value of $50 million or greater
- Experience leading and managing geographically dispersed teams
- Experience in program planning, budget development and execution; contracting, workforce staffing, risk management,
and the implementation of project processes and controls
- Current/Active DoD Secret Clearance |
