This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on the qualifications listed below.
This requisitions may be filled at either a Level 2 or a Level 3.
Basic Qualifications for a Level 2 are:
- Engineering degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Marine or Ocean Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience with a BS or 0 years with a MS.
- Current Secret clearance is required. Current TS/SCI with polygraph is desired.
- Moderate proficiency in common engineering /office tools (including MathCad, MatLab, FEA, MS Office) and analytical techniques including: basic structural, thermal and machine design.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD programs such as NX and knowledge of engineering drawing development.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team in a fast paced environment

- Engineering degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Marine or Ocean Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of5 years' of experience with a BS, 3 years' of experiencewith a MS, or 0 years' of experience witha PhD.

Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to the basic qualifications, specific experience in design and/or analysis supporting ocean engineering,naval architecture or marine engineering, including structures, material sciences, and mechanical systems packaging fordeep ocean applications.
