Mechanical Engineer II


Job Description:

The RF Products & Technologies Department is currently searching for a mechanical engineer with design experience to provide engineering support in a multi-disciplined team environment for various RF designs.

Please Note: This position can be an Mechanical Engineer II or Sr. Mechanical Engineer I based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with Creo Parametric (a.k.a. ProEngineer) (preferred), SolidWorks, AutoCAD.
  • A bachelor's degree with a minimum of two (2) years of professional experience
  • Some experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Proven abilities in structured problem solving.
  • Must be eligible for, or have active, DoD SECRET security clearance. Must have INTERIM SECRET clearance before start date.

Desired Skills:
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control
  • Knowledgeable in product testing
  • Experience related to RF components, circuit cards, or electronics packaging
  • Experience in a production or manufacturing environment

Required Education (including Major):
A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of two (2) years of professional experience.

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement.
