Job Description:Test Engineer is responsible for Special Test Equipment (STE) Design, development and integration of the STE with the Prime
Hardware for Space and Airborne Systems (SAS). As a Test Engineer, the candidate will work as part of a team to develop /analyze
Hardware test routines and specification requirements. The position requires a candidate that is adept at
Hardware (ME & EE). Potential areas of focus are: Receiver Module and Receiver Unit Test Sub-Systems on multiple airborne programs.
Candidate will be required to be able to perform Mechanical and Electrical development as well as analyze and test RF/digital circuits associated with unit and system level applications. Instrumentation skills should include working knowledge of oscilloscopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and general test equipment. Personal disciplines should include strong adherence to; lab practices, configuration control, and program instructions. Candidate should be reliable, passionate, a self-starter, and able to work with minimum direction. Periodic travel requiring non-standard work schedules may be required.

Required Skills:- Previous internship experience performing Mechanical Engineering responsibilities.
- Experience using drawing software applications (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, TRACE 700 or similar apps.).
- Experience developing #D-CAD models using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.
- Experience analyzing and designing Mechanical fixtures and equipment.
- Working knowledge reading/developing schematics, procedures, etc.
- Working knowledge of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf Test Equipment (Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, DMMs, etc.).
- U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
Security Clearance:This position requires U.S. citizenship for purposes of obtaining a security clearance

- Disciplined problem-solving approach to all engineering tasks (testing. documentation, etc.).
- Working knowledge of Digital Programming (Verilog/VHDL) is a plus.

Required Education (including Major):
Must have a BS / BA with a major in Mechanical Engineering or other related field by Summer 2020 or have graduated within 18 months prior to start date.
