Material Program Manager I

The Material Program Lead/Manager (MPM) is responsible for managing Supply Chain Management activities within the AIM-9X Production/development/sustainment Program. The MPM will serve as the liaison between Supply Chain and the finance office. The MPM will assist with Material Forecasting, EAC preparation, Risk and Opportunities reviews and program reviews.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  1. This individual will execute the program per the material program plan.
  2. Material Forecasting, EAC (Estimate at Completion), RONA, supplier management, cost/ schedule/ quality management performance, metrics, supplier assessments, sourcing strategies, leading proposal activities and assisting with contract close out activities
  3. The MPM will create and input into the SCM tools.
  4. Provide input as needed to the program EAC reviews including supply chain risk and opportunities. The MPM will use R6 Sigma and critical thinking skills to propose sound and innovative business solutions to increase operational efficiencies to insure business area and program success.
  5. Participate in program activities throughout the entire program lifecycle, from pre-proposal through contract closure
  6. Support Program-level gate reviews and Estimates At Completion (EAC)
  7. Program Startup Reviews – Provides Gate chart, Gate presentation, and Independent Business Review (IBR) support for the program
  8. Reviews IPDS SCM Gate 5 checklist
  9. Supplier Schedule/MRP and Critical Path Analysis – Identifies tasks critical to SCM and updates the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), consistent with MRP requirements. Manages SCM and other IMS tasks to ensure completion to plan
  10. Attends and represents SCM on program Change Control Board (CCB) as required
  11. Collaborates with Operations and SCM functions to validate supplier availability, produce-ability to specification, and cost/schedule impact
  12. Reviews the standard SCM Metrics with the PMO and Program IPTs as applicable

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

Required Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Management, or similar is required
Required Experience & Skills:
  • Minimum of 6 years of direct Supply Chain Experience
  • Ability to obtain a final DoD Secret security clearance
  • Experience developing and executing material program plans
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and others to develop solutions for project challenges
  • Experience with Risk and Opportunity management plans
  • U.S. Citizenship

Desired Education, Experience & Skills:
  • Master’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Contract Management
  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Raytheon or equivalent Six Sigma Specialist certification
  • Raytheon or equivalent Material Program Management (MPM) certification
  • This individual must be a self-starter, flexible and have the ability to work independently at a high level
