Boeing is the world's leading aerospace company and manufacturer of defense products and services! This is a great opportunity to lead Material Cost Analysts (MCA) team in the Boeing Defense & Space Systems (BDS), in a growing high-visibility environment in Huntsville, Alabama.
As the BDS Material Cost Manager, you will be responsible for managing direct reports in Huntsville, Alabama and El Segundo, California, as well as provide functional support in other Boeing locations. This includes the Space Launch System (SLS), Ground Missile Defense (GMD), Pac-3, Commercial and Classified Satellites.

  • Manage, develop and engage their team of MCA professionals
  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Ensure teams are enabling favorable cost performance including Earned Value Management, perform Estimate At Completion projections and other Finance forecasts, as it pertains to specific contract / project supply-chain.
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures and set operational goals.
  • Manage resources for projects and process improvements.
  • Represent Boeing in the assigned projects for MCA, in customer and internal assessments.
  • Sox & Govt. compliance; advocate for change/adaptability; morale/culture driver.
  • Travel will be required approximately every 6 to 8 weeks.

Basic Qualifications (Required):
  • Experience with leading and developing successful teams and partnerships.
  • Experience in Program Management Best Practices (i.e., Requirements Management, Resource Management, Integrated Planning and Scheduling, Financial Oversight (EVM), Program Performance Management, Supplier Integration, RIO (Risk, Issue, Opportunity) Management, Program Communication, Senior Leadership Reviews, etc.)
  • Experience integrating project activities or requirements across multiple functions (e.g. accounting, business operations, financial operations, policy, engineering/operations, information technology, etc.)
  • Experience with forecasting, financial integration, financial operations, FP&A, accounting and/or treasury
  • Experience with financial planning, resource planning and cost management activities
  • Willing and able to travel approximately 25% of the time
  • Willing and able to obtain a US Government Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Leading finance and functional excellence, managing priorities and promote change with enthusiasm.
  • Proficiency with Supply Chain, Operations & Finance processes, systems and information.
  • DCMA & DCAA interactions and relationship building.
  • Current and active Secret clearance

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
