Summary:
  • TheMaterial Coordinator will inspect,coordinate and expedite flow of property, supplies within or betweendepartments in accordance with requirements or department supervisors'priorities.

Duties andResponsibilities:

  • Receive, issue, ship and accept turn-ins GovernmentFurnished Property and Contractor Acquired Property and related materiel.Associated safety, inspection, stock accounting, requisition, stock control,warehousing, re-warehousing, salvage, inventory, turn-in, packaging andshipment.
  • Oversees the work of Warehouse Specialistand Supply Technician and assists them in the function of their duties.
  • Locates and moves materials and partsbetween work areas to expedite processing of goods, according to predeterminedschedules and priorities, and keeps related records: Reviews schedules andinventory reports to determine types, quantities, and availability of requiredmaterial and priorities of customer’s requests.
  • Locates and moves materials to specifiedareas, using cart, hand truck, or motorized forklift.
  • Coordinates with department supervisors todetermine property requirements.
  • Records quantity and type of supplies andproperty distributed and on hand.
  • May update and maintain inventory recordsusing computer terminal.
  • Process Transfer Records and all otherdocumentation
  • Compiles and maintains manual orcomputerized records, such as material inventory, property listings, status andlocation of available property.
  • Comply with established work practices andsafety procedures. Properly utilize safetydata sheets (SDS) to identify chemical hazards and wear/use personal protectiveequipment (PPE) needed to ensure personal health and safety.
  • Provide courteous, efficient, and timelyservice. Strive to ensure a high levelof customer satisfaction.
  • Otherduties as assigned

MinimumQualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily.)

  • High School diploma or GED;
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ military orcivilian experience in Government Property Administration, and/ormaterial/inventory control;
  • Maintain a valid state-issued Driver'slicense and applicable Government/Army license;
  • Must be able to pass a National AgencyCheck with Inquiries (NACI) for computer access.

Knowledge, Skillsand Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communicationskills
  • Ability to follow oral and writtendirections.
  • Knowledge of fabrics and constructionmethods.

  • While performing the duties of thisJob, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear.   • The employee will normally work ina temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure toelectronic office equipment.
  • During visits to areas ofoperations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborneparticles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
