Master Scheduler

Job Description

CACI is currently looking for a Master Scheduler with agile methodology experience to join our BEAGLE (Border Enforcement Applications for Government Leading-Edge Information Technology) Agile Solution Factory (ASF) Team supporting Customs and Border Protection (CBP) client located in Northern Virginia! Join this passionate team of industry-leading individuals supporting the best practices in Agile Software Development for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

As a member of the BEAGLE ASF Team, you will support the men and women charged with safeguarding the American people and enhancing the Nation’s safety, security, and prosperity. CBP agents and officers are on the front lines, every day, protecting our national security by combining customs, immigration, border security, and agricultural protection into one coordinated and supportive activity.

The ability to be adaptable and to work constructively with a technically diverse and geographically separated team is crucial.

The ideal candidate will work as a member of the ASF Agile Program Management Office (PMO), and will be responsible for working with the technical leads and developing and maintaining a MS Project resource-loaded schedule.

What you’ll get to do:

Serve as a Scheduler who will be responsible for:

  • Lead development of assigned portions of the program's cost and schedule baseline
  • Review and report performance updates from the program’s Control Account Managers
  • Contribute to the development of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) by working along with other schedulers, the Master Scheduler, and technical team leads to determine critical tasks and their interdependencies across the program
  • Develop scheduling status reports, digests, and summaries used at Program Management meetings or in customer deliverables
  • Develop and maintain schedule artifacts and other program documentation related to deliverables to the customer and to CACI leadership
  • Determine the critical path of the program based on schedule progress and established task dependencies
  • Support data transfer from Microsoft Project to the team’s Earned Value Management tool and ensure accuracy of data
  • Actively participate in Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs)
  • Interact daily with technical leads, CACI leadership, and client personnel by providing schedule status data
  • Support the team’s schedule change control efforts
  • May temporarily lead scheduling team activities in absence of Project Scheduling Lead

You have:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass CBP background investigation, criteria include, but not limited to:
    • 3 year check for felony convictions
    • 1 year check for illegal drug use
    • 1 year check for misconduct such as theft or fraud
  • College degree (B.S.) in a quantitative or technical discipline (e.g., finance or business, engineering, mathematics, computer science, operations research, statistics, economics)
  • Five (5+) years of related experience, particularly working on Government contracts

You are good at:

  • Determining the Critical Path and performing Schedule status updates
  • Creating and maintaining a resource loaded schedule for large programs
  • Understanding of project management and the application of project management processes
  • Established and productive professional individual contributor
  • Ability to work independently with limited to no supervision
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient with other MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio and SharePoint)

Bonus would be having:

  • Experience as a scheduler on projects using Earned Value Management
  • Experience running DCMA 14-point schedule assessments
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
  • Experience on large-scale software development projects
  • Familiarity with DHS Contracting environment
  • Working knowledge of computer scheduling programs
