Marine Electrician/Electronics Technician

Job Duties and Responsibilities

ManTech is currently seeking an experienced Marine Electrician/Electronics Technician to support our growing operations in Bangor, WA.


Clearance Required: TS clearance based on a current SSBI and deemed eligible for SCI access.


Required Experience:
Minimum Experience:  Fifteen years of experience as an electronics technician or marine electrician. This experience shall demonstrate experience in the maintenance and assembly of the following electronic equipment: transducers; inverters; fiber optics; phone and communication circuits; and electronic circuit boards.  Experience shall also include AC and DC power and marine electrical systems up to and including 480V services.


Has experience with at least six of the nine sub-criteria:
1) Reading, interpreting and understanding blue prints, drawings, schematics;  2) Operation of single and multiple platform surface navigation systems merged with underwater tracking systems for submarines, vehicles, targets and acoustic arrays; 3) Operation, maintenance, repair of surface and sub-surface communication systems; 4) Repair and operation of underwater remote operated vehicles (ROV's); 5) Data acquisition system development; 6) Knowledge of software development; 7) Low noise instrumentation amplifiers, spectrum analyzers; 8) High voltage distribution panels; and 9) Program and control of electronic security systems (i.e. Hirsch).


Required Education and Certifications:
High School Diploma and a basic level of recognized certification in a relevant field (i.e. documented advanced military training, International Society of Certified Electronics Technicians (ISCET), Marine Electrical Certification from American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC).

Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and two to four years of experience or High School diploma or equivalent, and eight to ten years of related experience or technical training equivalent to an Associate’s degree.
