Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is looking for a Logistics Support 3 to join our team. Put your years of experience into a future of excellence. The qualified applicant will become part of the team in Saint Inigoes, Maryland to be responsible for providing support to the logistics function preparing logistics documentation to establish the range and depth of spares, tools, test equipment and related manuals to be deployed and stocked. Determining maintenance and repair materials required for deployment. Modifying maintenance records such as repair standards for more complex equipment or components. Developing requisitions for and manages records of equipment, components, repair parts and related manuals; tracks logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of storage facilities; reviewing configuration changes to evaluate impact on logistics deployment; documenting equipment, component and parts conditions; and identifying logistic support documentation to be included such as drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance requirement cards to support life-cycle of product.
Responsibilities include:
  • Compiling and maintaining local material and parts inventory and status information to expedite movement of material/parts between supply transport staging areas, IAW predetermined production schedules and order priorities.
  • Processing production asset schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine type and quantity of materials required, availability of stock, and order priority.
  • Locating and distributing materials to specified production areas, manually or using handcart, hand truck, or forklift.
  • Recording and maintaining perpetual inventory of quantity, type of materials and parts received, stocked, and distributed, manually using AIMS computer database.
  • Examining material received, verify part numbers, and check discrepancies, such as damaged or unmarked parts; compare work ticket specifications to material used on site to verify appropriate assignment.
  • Sorting bundles, boxes, or lots of articles for delivery: Reads delivery or route numbers marked on articles or delivery slips, or determines locations of addresses indicated on delivery slips.
  • Compiling and maintaining supply support material, parts inventory and status information to expedite movement of material and parts between transport staging areas, according to predetermined production schedules and order priorities.

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School degree and four (4) plus years of Naval Aviation Material Control experience.
  • Valid forklift operator license.
  • Interim Secret Security Clearance required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • NavalSupport Equipment Asset Manager course(C-555-0026);
  • Naval Aviation Operating Target Accounting course (C-555-0018);
  • Naval Aviation Material Control Management course (C-555-0051)
  • Ability to compile and maintain supply support material, parts inventory and status information to expedite movement of material and parts between transport staging areas, according to predetermined production schedules and order priorities.
