Logistics Supervisor

This position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S. persons.

Raytheon is looking for an experienced Logistics Supervisor. In this role, you will supervise the McKinney Receiving, Customer Service, and Government Furnished Material (GFM) functions. You will work with the Logistics Leadership Team to identify, design, and implement process and system improvements to improve safety, reduce waste, increase productivity, and improve quality. Primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Planning and directing daily activity for the Receiving, Customer Service and Government Furnished Material (GFM) teams

  • Establishing and monitoring adherence to operating policies and procedures

  • Training and developing logistics personnel to improve competency and skill levels

  • Conducting team meetings and management briefings

  • Managing labor and expenses to ensure that cost and schedule objectives are met

  • Developing and publishing performance metrics to support functional ops reviews

  • Managing internal and external audits to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, laws, and regulations

  • Collaborating with supply chain colleagues to define and implement common processes and tools

  • Promoting continuous improvement and innovation

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 4 years of Logistics or Supply Chain work experience

  • Minimum 2 years prior Supervisory or Management experience

  • Experience with technical issues associated with logistics requirements, i.e., SAP, PRISM

  • Familiarity with OSHA and Environment, Health and Safety (EHS)

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance

Desired Skills:

  • Certified or trained in Lean and/or Six Sigma methods

  • Prior work experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry

  • Understanding of FAR/DFARS Regulations, Public Law and Import/Export requirements

  • Familiarity with SAP inventory and warehouse management and outbound logistics systems

  • Experience with third party logistics and other business process outsourcing

  • Ability to accurately model cost, quality, schedule, and safety impacts of process changes
  • Ability to produce a concise and comprehensive business case and presentation associated with any appropriate process improvement

  • Ability to effectively drive positive change in a complex and dynamic environment
